10 Super Cool Credit Card Offers (You’ve Never Heard Of)

by David on August 20, 2009

I often get tired of seeing credit card review sites talk about the same cards over and over card. The fact is there hundreds of great credit card offers that most sites never mention. Whether you want to support your college, a cause, or a hobby, there is a credit card offer with great terms out there if you know where to look.

So here you’ll find of the really cool credit cards available, many of which you may never have heard of.

  1. Chase Disney Rewards Visa Card: One of my favorite vacations was when we took our kids to Disney World. It was between Christmas and New Year’s, and we had a blast. With the Chase Disney Rewards Visa card, you can earn rewards to be redeemed for just about anything Disney. You also get 0% financing for up to 6 months on Disney vacation expenses.

  3. NASCAR RacePoints Platinum Plus Visa credit card from Bank of America: If you’ve never seen a NASCAR race in person, you need to find time to go. The acceleration and deceleration are simply amazing, and you just don’t see how incredible these machines are on the TV. Anyway, BofA offers the perfect card for NASCAR fans. In addition to a balance transfer offer and low regular interest rate, you can also earn points redeemable for NASCAR purchases, including race tickets. Cardholders also can earn a $25 NASCAR Superstore Gift Card after qualifying transaction(s).
  4. The Home Depot Credit Card: If you enjoy working around the house as much as I do, this card may be just what you’re looking for. The big feature of this card is that it offers no payments and no interest for 6 months on purchases of $299 or more–ALL THE TIME. There is no annual fee for the card, but it does charge a fairly high regular APR. As a result, this card is best for those who will pay off the balance once any introductory rate expires.

With the TJX Rewards card, you earn 5 points for every $1 you spend on purchases at T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and A.J.Wright. You also earn one point for all other purchases, and you earn 10% off your first purchase at T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and A.J. Wright after account approval.
  7. Alumni Association Credit Cards: Bank of America offers alumni association cards that allow consumers to support their Alma mater. The card comes with a 0% balance transfer feature, a variable APR that is reasonably competitive, and no annual fee. In addition, with each card issued and with each purchase, Bank of America will make a contribution to the alumni association referenced on the card.

  8. American Diabetes Association Visa: This card is designed for those that want to show their support for the American Diabetes Association. Note that this card is classified as a “supporter” card, which means it’s designed to show your support for the cause and to bring awareness to the fight against diabetes, but your use of the card will not benefit the American Diabetes Association financially.
  9. Rainbow Card: Every purchase made with the Rainbow card supports the Rainbow Endowment, a grant making organization that funds the GLBT community. There is no annual fee for the card, and it comes with a generous 0% balance transfer feature.
