by David on October 26, 2009

I love books. In fact, just this past week I purchased the Amazon Kindle, which is truly amazing. With Kindle, you can wirelessly download any book from Amazon that is available for the Kindle. And Amazon offers a ton of FREE books, too. So that get me to thinking, are there any credit card offers with cash back rewards for buying books? The answer is yes! The following credit cards offer perks for the book lovers out there. The three cards featured are rewards cards that allow you to earn points and then redeem them accordingly. Each card has its own benefits and promotions and you don’t necessarily need to be a bookworm to find the cards useful.

Amazon Visa Card

Since I just purchased the Kindle, let’s start with the Amazon Visa Card. Here are the highlights for the card:

  • Get a $30 statement credit
  • Earn Rewards Points
  • Redeem Your Points

This card is a general rewards credit card. After your first purchase with the Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card, you will be credited $30 on your credit card statement. You also start earning points right away on eligible purchases. Here’s how it works: You earn 3 points for every $1 spent on Amazon.com, 2 points for every $1 spent at gas stations, restaurants, and drug stores, and 1 point for every other $1 spent. You can redeem your points for Amazon.com gift cards, cash back, airline miles and more. You can start redeeming your points once you accumulate 2,500 points.

Annual Percentage Rate
The Amazon Visa Card’s APR may vary monthly based on the Prime Rate.
