With the premier card you earn even more for your Marriott purchases — 5 points for every $1 you spend! Right away new cardholders will earn 50,000 bonus points and all you have to do is make a first purchase. On top of that you will receive a free night stay just for being approved and each year on your anniversary you will receive a free night too! Here is a breakdown of how you can earn points:
- 5 points earned for every $1 spent at Marriott locations
- 2 points earned for every $1 spent on airline, dining and rental car purchases
- 1 points earned for every $1 spent on all other purchases
If you are familiar with the way the Marriott cards work, then you know the more you spend, the better your status. There are different levels of elite status that you earn based on your much you spend with the card. The higher your status, the better rewards you earn! For example, every time you spend $3,000, you’ll earn an additional elite night credit and after 15 credits, you will be provided elite status.
