The Citi Forward® Card for College Students is a student rewards credit card that rewards students for being good cardmembers. When you pay your bill on time and don’t exceed your credit limit you can earn extra bonus points. You can earn points for making everyday purchases and you even have the opportunity to lower your APR. In addition to the solid rewards program this card offers, there is also no annual fee. Rates and Offers
The card offers new members 0% for the first 7 months*. After the introductory period, the rate you receive will be 13.99%-23.99%* (Variable) based on your creditworthiness.
Rewards Program
This card offers a great reward program for students and rewards them for being good cardmembers. You can reduce your purchase APR by .25% when you make a purchase, stay under your credit limit and pay at least your minimum amount due on time 3 billing periods in a row. The purchase APR on your account can be reduced a maximum of 8 times up to a total reduction of 2% throughout the time your account is open. You will also earn five ThankYou Points for every dollar you spend on purchases at book stores, record stores, restaurants, including fast food restaurants, motion picture theaters, and video entertainment rental stores. You will earn one ThankYou Point for every dollar you spend on all other purchases. You will earn 100 bonus ThankYou Points at the end of every billing cycle during which you make your Minimum Payment or more on time, and at the end of which you are not over your credit limit.
Bonus Points
The card gives members two ways to earn bonus points. You can earn 1,000 bonus ThankYou Points just for signing up for Paperless Statements within 3 months of account opening. And you earn 100 ThankYou Points each billing period that you pay on time and stay under your credit line. All points become available for redemption when they are transferred from the Card Account to the ThankYou Member Account.
