Hyatt Visa Gold Passport® Card Review

Some of my favorite card offers are the ones that give you a nice bonus just for making a purchase. The Hyatt Credit Card is one of these offers because it gives 2 free nights at any Hyatt Hotel, anywhere in the world, after your first purchase. What’s not to love about that? It’s got other great benefits too, like triple points for your Hyatt purchase. Let’s get into all the details.

Hyatt Credit Card

  • Begin with 2 Award Nights at Hyatt properties worldwide, after making your first purchase with the Hyatt Credit Card
  • Receive 1 Anniversary Award Night each year in category 1-4 properties
  • No foreign transaction fees and Smart Chip protection on international purchases
  • 3 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent with your Hyatt Card at all Hyatt properties
  • 1 Hyatt Gold Passport point for every $1 spent on purchases elsewhere
  • There are no limits to the points you can earn
  • Award nights with no resort, Internet or redemption fees

Rewards Program

Let’s talk rewards! You will earn Hyatt Gold Passport® points for each $1 spent at participating Hyatt locations and you earn 1 Hyatt Gold Passport point for each $1 other purchases. As you can see, if you stay at Hyatt locations then you can earn points much faster. This would be great for you summer travels. You can earn unlimited points because there is no maximum number of points that you can accumulate.

Two Free Nights

We will cover this perk in a bit more detail. All members will receive two Hyatt Gold Passport® Free Night Awards after your first use of the card. First use includes things like purchases, balance transfers, or any checks that are used to access your account, but it excludes cash advances. Your Free Night Award is valid for use on any available standard room within one year from when it’s issued. You can use it at any Hyatt hotel or resort any where in the world. After you qualify, it takes about 10 days for your Free Night Awards to post to your account.

Daniel, it does. As you’ll see on the application page, you get two free nights just for using the card the first time. And then you get points toward free stays as you use the card.

Can the two free nights be used consecutively or is limited to one free night per stay?

Debrorah, I’ve reviewed the terms & conditions, but there is nothing I can find explicitly answering your question. My suggestion would be to call Hyatt.

Thanks. Also, I was wondering if the two nights can be redeemed at a Park Hyatt. I am traveling to Mendoza, Argentina.
