Rates and Offers

The JetBlue Card offers members a special introductory rate of 3.9% or the first 6 months on balance transfers. In order to get the low rate you have to request the balance transfer within 30 days of the account opening. After the introductory period the rate will change to 15.24% on balance transfers. The APR for purchases is always 15.24%. The APR for cash advances is 25.24% and the penalty APR is 27.24% when it applies. The penalty APR can be applied if you have a late payment or you have a payment returned. If the Penalty APR is applied it will apply for at least 12 billing periods in a row. It will continue to apply until you pay on time, with no returned payments, for 12 billing periods in a row.

Rewards Program

The JetBlue card allows members to earn up to 8 points when they book their travels on jetblue.com. Here’s how it works: triple points per every $1 plus 3 bonus points when they book on jetblue.com, but if you use your JetBlue Card then you get an additional 2 points per $1. On all your other purchases you will earn 1 point per every $1 in purchases. This means every time you use your card you can earn points towards flights. That means things like gas, groceries, household bills, and JetBlue flights can help you earn flights quickly. There are no blackout dates so you can redeem points for any seat, anytime.

Bonus Points Offer

For first time cardmembers the card offers a bonus offer of 10,000 TrueBlue Points after the first purchase. You can start redeeming for free flights at 10,000 points, this means you earn a free flight after your first purchase with your JetBlue Card. You may be permitted to have more than one JetBlue Card account, but you are only eligible to receive one welcome bonus.

The current offer of 20,000 points (worth a round-trip) with the JetBlue American Express card is shameful and misleading. The reality is that 20,000 points will only provide a round-trip between relatively close cities. If you are planning to take a trip coast-to-coast (like I was), you will be sorely disappointed to learn that such a trip will cost you 32,000 points. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
