The Virgin Atlantic American Express® Black Card from Bank of America is a travel rewards card that is designed to reward those that travel the Virgin Atlantic airlines. The card rewards members with bonus miles, miles for everyday purchases, and extra miles for your Virgin Atlantic purchases. Its these great rewards that makes this card one of the best miles cards available today. The card offers a low standard APR and has an annual fee of $90 per year. This card is for those with good to excellent credit that frequently fly with the Virgin Atlantic airlines. Here is a summary of the card features:

  • 20,000 bonus miles after your first purchase
  • 1.5 miles per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • 3 miles per $1 spent directly on Virgin Atlantic purchases

Rates and Offers
The card offers a standard APR of 13.24% for purchases and balance transfers. The APR for cash advances is 24.24% and there is no penalty APR. You will not be charge interest on your purchases if you pay your entire balance each month. The card does not offer any special introductory rate. All rates may vary based on changes to the prime rate.

Rewards Program
The card offers new cardmembers 20,000 bonus miles after your first purchase. You will also earn 1.5 miles per every $1 spent on all your everyday purchases. If you make purchases at Virgin Atlantic then you will receive 3 miles per every $1 you spend. This is a great reward for those who frequent make Virgin Atlantic purchases. Cardmembers are also eligible for up to 15,0000 bonus miles every anniversary and up to 5,000 bonus miles when you add additional Cardmembers to your account. In addition to earning miles, you’ll also earn tier points. You get one tier point per $2,500 in purchases (maximum of 2 per month) and additional tier points when you fly Virgin Atlantic or our airline partners. The more tier points you earn, the higher your status. The higher your status, the better the benefits you enjoy.
